Thank you for all your support, your loyalty to Remz, and what you have accomplished for Seattle and the Washington State scene over the years Kawika , from creating bladewa.com to what you have done with Skatebarn and the Barnburner.
"It has been great riding for Remz and supporting the brand. Its great to get the chance to promote something that you would do anyways and you believe in. I'm happy that I was able to inspire kids to get Remedyz. I remember when I was working at Skatebarn and everytime I sold a pair I'd make the kid try v-cut, full cuffs, and no cuff just to see how they like it. And of course I would always push for the no-cuff because that's what I have always rode haha. I would love to ride for Remz forever but there are other kids that deserve it more and can represent the brand way better than I could. I'm excited for Josiah Blee to rep Remz hard and show everyone what he can do.
I don't think I could ever truly quit, just slowing down a bit. Its been one of the best experiences in my life and has given me life long friends. You'll still see me around at contest in the northwest and skating parks. I just can't afford to get hurt so I can't be going nuts anymore. I've been busy with work and been taking on the adventure to be a career fire fighter, and trying to spend some time with my wife when I can. It is time now to focus more on my career and family.
I will always be on Remz regardless, after skating them for 7 years anything else would feel weird!"
